Doripenem

Doripenem is an antibiotic of the Carbapenem class. It is a beta-lactam antibiotic capable of killing Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Doripenem is used to treat bacterial infections namely complex abdominal infections, pneumonia contracted in hospital, and complicated infections of the urinary tract including sepsis in the kidney infection. It has greater stability in aqueous solution compared to other Carbapenem class antibiotics. Forms and Dosage

Doripenem is sold as a powder for injection in a 500 mg vial.
