Clobetasol Manufacturers

Clobetasol is a corticosteroid, a class of steroid hormones involved in a range of physiological processes. Clobetasol manufacturers make the medication to treat several skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, and contact dermatitis. The drug is applied to the skin only as a cream, ointment, or shampoo and is much stronger than other steroid creams. Patients can also use cream and an ointment called Clobetasone, which is similar to Clobetasol but milder. This corticosteroid medication was patented in 1968, and Clobetasol manufacturers first produced it for medical use ten years later. Among the brand names are Dermovate, ClobaDerm, Cormax, Clobex, Temovate, Etrivex. It is also available as a generic medication. In addition to treating skin conditions, supplies of Clobetasol can also be used to treat autoimmune diseases such as alopecia areata and mycosis fungoides. Clobetasol manufacturers produce the medication with a strength of 0.05%, with 5mg of Clobetasol in each 10g of cream.

How Does Clobetasol Work?

When applied, Clobetasol reduces itching, swelling, and redness associated with the skin conditions it treats. Clobetasol works by helping to reduce inflammation in the skin. During an allergic reaction or an irritation, the skin gets inflamed because of the release of certain chemicals. They widen blood vessels, and the skin becomes itchy and painful. Clobetasol works inside cells to prevent the release of these chemicals. Most patients use Clobetasol one or two times a day for a week, although a doctor may suggest using it for longer. Typically, the amount of cream or ointment used per application covers a fingertip. The medication is for the skin only, although not on the broken or infected skin. Patients should avoid getting it into their eyes, mouth, and nose. After application, patients should wash their hands.

Clobetasol Wholesale Price

Clobetasol manufacturers and Clobetasol suppliers have a range of wholesale prices that vary widely. A 2015 study by NEJM Journal Watch found that in the global marketplace, branded Clobetasol was ten times higher than generic fluocinonide. In the United States in 2019, the wholesale cost of a month's supply of Clobetasol was around $66. Three years earlier, it was the country's 184th most prescribed medication with more than three million prescriptions. Hence there is a huge demand for its manufacture. Buyers looking for an easy and convenient way to source and order Clobetasol can search online using Pipelinepharma's marketplace. Through our strict vetting and quality control procedures, you will only find verified Clobetasol manufacturers and suppliers.
