AZACITIDINE manufacturer

Azacitidine is a medicine composed of a chemical analog of the nucleoside cytidine and is predominantly used for the treatment of myelodysplastic syndrome. Approved in the United States by the FDA in 2004 for commercial manufacturers and distributors, it was initially synthesized in Czechoslovakia for use as a chemotherapy agent, with the original Investigational New Drug application being submitted by the National Cancer Institute in 1971. Currently, it is listed both for sale and wholesale by multiple azacitidine manufacturers and azacitidine suppliers on the global marketplace. Where it is sold at a diversity of different price points by global distributors under brand names including Vidaza and Onureg. As a generic pharmaceutical product, azacitidine does not require specialized licensing agreements to commercialization nor duplicate, and so presents as a cost-effective and attractive option to manufacturers and distributors. Warnings: Follow all Instructions on your medicine package and label. It is wise to tell your healthcare providers about all your medical allergies, illnesses, and all medicines you use. Before taking AZACITIDINE: You should not use This medical remedy if you are allergic to it This drug may also be used for purposes that may not have been listed in this medication guide.

How Does AZACITIDINE Work?

Belonging to a group of pharmaceutical products which are chemical analogs to the cytidine nucleoside used in DNA and RNA, it is thought that azacitidine induces antineoplastic activity through the functional inhibition of the DNA methyltransferase enzyme at low doses and causes cytotoxicity at high doses through incorporation into RNA and DNA. Preventing DNA syntheses by resulting in hypermethylation of the DNA through covalent bonding to DNA methyltransferase. Due to azacitidine being a ribonucleoside, it has a higher affinity for RNA than DNA, inducing relatively elevated incorporation into RNA. This results in disassembly of polyribosomes, defective methylation, and acceptor function of transfer RNA, culminating in inhibition of protein production and subsequent cell death.

The final form of this medication is dependent on the judgment of both azacitidine manufacturers and azacitidine suppliers. However, it is typically found for sale and wholesale as vials, lyophilized vials, solutions for injections, and a solution for infusion. As a prescribed product, the administration is strictly done under the guise of a medical professional. With treatments typically done in a cycle of once a day for a weeklong duration, followed by three weeks of no treatment. This however is tailored to the specific needs and medical response of the individual, as such many variations in dose and treatment cycles exist and are prescribed.
