The per unit price of 200 mg voriconazole intravenous powder for injection is $ 44.23 Voriconazole - Mechanism of Action The primary mode of action of Voriconazole is the inhibition of fungal cytochrome P-450-mediated 14 alpha-lanosterol demethylation, an essential step in fungal ergosterol biosynthesis. Voriconazole binds and inhibits ergosterol synthesis by inhibiting CYP450-dependent 14-alpha sterol demethylase. The inhibition of 14-alpha sterol demethylase results in depletion of ergosterol in fungal cell membrane and thus responsible for the antifungal activity of Voriconazole.
